To be honest there’s not a huge number of specific things to see in Yangon so in the afternoon we went to lake just north of the city centre. We weren’t expecting much but in fact it was a real treat. It took about 3 hours to wander right around it and there was much of interest along the way – along with lovely views across the water at various points.
The highlight was in a family entertainment area where two guys in a richly decorated elephant costume – like a pantomime horse - danced to some local pop music.
