For dinner we went to a restaurant called House of Memories located in what looked like a large double-fronted suburban tudor-style house, with a lovely garden with lights in the trees. It had been used as an office by national hero General Aung San, father of the even more famous daughter. After dinner we went upstairs and were shown his office which has been left unchanged – with photos of him on the wall, including one of him with Clement Attlee.
